We are very sad to report that Geoff Evans died on 21st June. He had been suffering with cancer. Geoff was a kind and gentle man – one of the most popular and highly regarded members of Cardiff Bridge Club over many years. As well as having a distinguished playing career he was a long-standing Club Captain, Chairman of the East Wales Bridge Association, and he also served on the Welsh Bridge Union’s Management Committee. Geoff had a great many friends in the bridge community. He will be greatly missed.
